Financial Assistance

There are ways to make your camp experience more affordable.  It is our intention that no camper is barred from participation based on financial need.

  • Your Congregation - We urge local congregations to provide at least 1/3 of the camp fee for any of their church members attending our camping programs.  Our outdoor ministry program is an extension of  local church ministry and relies on financial assistance from UCC churches across Michigan. Many congregations support fundraising efforts and pay part or all of a campers fee.
  • VISION- A limited amount of scholarship money is raised each year to assist campers who due to family crisis or other extenuating circumstances would otherwise be unable to attend our camp.  House holds who are receiveing state aid or other financial assistance are encouraged to apply for a scholarship. The maximum amount VISION awards is up to 1/3 the camp cost.
  • Volunteer- Parents who volunteer as counselors will receive a 50% discount for each child attending one summer camp.
  • Gifts-Ask Grandma or Grandpa - Aunts and Uncles to give the gift of a Camp Talahi experience.  Camperships are great Christmas and Birthday gifts.
